5 Instant Pasta Recipes

The following five recipes are easy to prepare and will fire up the Italian chef in you!

 

Pasta Puttanesca 

INGREDIENTS

      Puttanesca pasta is a classic Italian pasta dish with a rich and fragrant sauce. Bold, spicy and lightly sweet, Puttanesca contains tangy tomatoes, umami-rich garlic, aromatic rosemary, fresh basil and parsley. If you’re in the mood for a bold plate of food, this pasta can be prepared in a jiffy! Pair it with slices of garlic bread to make it a complete meal.

      DIRECTIONS

      1. Pour 1 litre of water into a large pot, add a tablespoon of sea salt and let it boil.
      2. Add the pasta when the salted pasta water is at a rolling boil. Mix a little olive oil into the pot so the pasta doesn't stick together.
      3. Cook for 4 to 5 mins until the pasta is soft to eat.
      4. Drain the pasta and put it in a large bowl. 
      5. Drizzle some olive oil into a pan, add 175 gms of Puttanesca Pasta Sauce and bring the sauce to a simmer. 
      6. Make sure to add a few spoonfuls of that starchy pasta cooking water to help the sauce come together. 
      7. Now toss the cooked pasta in the heated sauce and let it coat fully.
      8. Garnish with some fresh parsley and serve it hot.

       

      Spaghetti Aglio Olio

      INGREDIENTS

          An easy and delicious pasta recipe that uses a handful of everyday ingredients. Spaghetti Aglio e Olio is a little spicy, it's herbaceous thanks to the parsley, and the garlic gives this dish a rich umami flavour. Enjoy this appetising pasta for the ultimate weekday family dinner.

The red chilli gives it a lovely hint of spice, the lamb adds a delicious earthiness, and the red wine gives it a lovely depth of flavour and colour.
