The deep flavours of cabbage can be experienced when eaten raw. It has a slightly earthy flavour and has a lot of water content in it. After it is cooked, it tends to be soft and absorbs the flavours of other ingredients easily.

How to Use: Shred them for Indian styled stir-fries, sandwiches, coleslaw, muttakos poriyal ( South-Indian style cabbage cooked with urad dal, chana dal and coconut), and cabbage meat rolls.
