An earthy and slightly sweet lentil, Green Gram (Whole) is green in colour and a favourite in India. It is a staple ingredient in Indian cuisine, particularly in Rajasthan. Moong Mogar is easy to cook and goes well with rotis & chapatis too.
For authentic Rajasthani flavours, try a recipe using Moong Mogar. Moreover, it is popularly used in curries, khichdi, pulao, korma, chaat and bhaji.
Our Moong Sabut has no added chemicals, polishes or colours. It is organically grown using sustainable agricultural practices.
How to use: To prepare Green Gram for curry, soak for 4-5 hours and pressure cook for 3-4 whistles. To make sprouts, soak for 8-12 hours till white roots emerge and the green gram is soft to eat. Rinse well before consuming. You can also add boiled or sprouted Green Gram to chaats and salads.
